David and Lin Zahrt represent the 4th generation of the Reese Family. Raised and educated in Iowa, their work in village-based socio-economic community development and nursing, has taken them to inner cities and rural towns in North America, to the Outback of Australia, and to the villages of Kenya. They have returned to the Homestead to be your hosts.

David manages the family farm and the Bed and Breakfast. He is protecting, restoring, and reconstructing native prairie He is also a Loess Hills Tour Guide, and a part-time employee of the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.

Lin has made a career of public health nursing. She keeps an eye out to make certain the meals are nutritious. She can recommend nearby places to eat, shop and visit.
