Here are some photos of bucks that were taken at the B&B.
In early November of '98 two of the hunters staying here each
took a 10 point bucks from State ground; one non-typical, and
one that measured 155 on the Boone & Crockett.
The
Country Homestead Bed and Breakfast will provide you:

topographical map available to consult.
- 160
acres of private property in Loess Hills out the back door.
This ground is 75% tree covered.
- 320
acres of State ground (Turin Preserve ) bordering our property
to the north.
- 220
acres of private property bordering the State ground on
the north. This is a total of 700 acres. The State ground
is sandwiched in between the two private properties which
you can hunt.
- Additional
tracts of State Ground both north in Monona County , and
south, in Harrison County (9500 acres).
- A
place to dress your game.
- An
experienced guide, arranged upon request.
- The
comforts of home-coffee for your thermos, use of the refrigerator,
washer and dryer.
- Lodging
and permission to hunt $59/ night.

In the Loess Hills "Big Bird" is a Tom Turkey!
Experienced hunters report they get their bird 9 out of 10
years.

is a picture of the turkey Tom David took the first time he
went hunting. His Dad suggested , "David, you should
quit now!" His reasoning--"That way you'll have
